As a wedding photographer, I've had the pleasure of working at numerous venues, each with its unique charm. However, Bodnant Welsh Food stands out as a true gem in the world of Welsh wedding venues. Full of rustic charm and scenic beauty. The lush landscapes and picturesque surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for creating timeless images. The team at Bodnant Welsh Food goes above and beyond to ensure that every event runs seamlessly. Their professionalism and friendliness make the atmosphere not only conducive to capturing beautiful moments but also enjoyable for everyone involved. It's always a pleasure to work alongside this team. One of the aspects that I appreciate as a photographer is the meticulous attention to detail that the venue pays to its aesthetics. Every nook and cranny seems to be thoughtfully designed. The venue's homely feel adds a warmth and authenticity to the photos, making them truly reflect the love and joy of the couples celebrating their special day. But what truly elevates Bodnant Welsh Food is the wealth of opportunities that lie in its surrounding areas. Whether it's a scenic drive into the majestic Snowdonia mountains or a leisurely stroll around the famous Bodnant Gardens, the venue opens up a world of possibilities. The ability to seamlessly incorporate the natural beauty of the surrounding landscape into wedding photography adds an extra layer of magic to the images. We've just posted a blog on our own site, where we showcased an autumn wedding held at Bodnant Welsh Food. The venue not only provided an enchanting backdrop but also allowed for exploration and creativity in the surrounding areas. This is an ideal choice for couples seeking a romantic and adventurous wedding experience.

Went to the cafe for lunch. Had a hot roast pork sandwich with stuffing and apple sauce served with chips and salad £8, added the bombay potato soup for £2, wow. Partner had a roast turkey sandwich stuffing, cranberry sauce and chips and again served with salad £8. Both very well cooked and presented with plenty of it. It's a bit off the A55 but definitely worth the detour.

This is a beautiful farm shop with lots of unusual products that make for great souvenirs or gifts. It's expensive, though, so even though there is a butcherie and fresh produce, I'm not sure it would be practical or affordable to shop here regularly. That said, at the time of this review, there is an excellent choice of wines and spirits and a small coffee stand selling cakes, but gluten-free options are quite limited, unfortunately.

We liked it here, very quiet on a Monday & Tuesday. The Hayloft restaurant is closed on these days, but the cafe is open & we had breakfast here, it was lovely. The shop & butchers are excellent, offering a wide selection of local deli produce. We visited Bodnant Gardens, a 5 minute drive from the Welsh foods, a highly recommended National Trust attraction.

TERRIBLE SERVICE At the cafè. Admittedly it's a lovely place in beautiful surroundings but..... The service at the cafe is awful, we waited for probably 20 minutes before anyone even came to take our order. We then had to wait again, and when our order of two sandwiches they really wasn't worth waiting for. The table we sat at and the actual menu to order from were terribly sticky as in not clean. And there was also crumbs all around our feet. The place wasn't busy at all I might add. From memory there was probably 4 tables occupied. Edit: My Wife and I visited on 22/07/23.

AVOID! Waited over 20 minutes to have our order taken. 2 sandwiches, a beer and a pot of tea. 1 hour later the drinks finally arrived. The place wasnt even that busy. 15 minutes later the highly anticipated sandwiches arrived. When the meal arrived, my ploughman's sandwich was laughable. It was a triple decker. They must be catering for very small ploughmen! On the top layer, one dried slice of cheese, a small slice of ham and a small spoon of pickle in the middle. The bottom layer was literally just rocket! No butter or anything. They had the cheek to serve more rocket on the plate as a garnish too. Needless to say it was returned to the kitchen and not paid for. The family next to us also had many issues. One meal was a cold jacket potatoe with a garnish of aluminium foil. Delivery of their food was in drive and drabs over the space of 20 minutes. Apparently their bill was reduced by 50% after they complained. These places should focus on the fact locals frequent them and not just visitors. You just can not get away with charging high prices for disgraceful service. If anyone from bodnant sees this, would you consider this an acceptable level of service?

The service was amazing! Everyone was really accommodating and friendly. The food at the Hayloft Bar and Grill was also so delicious. Although the room was a bit small, the view from our room was also lovely and our welcome package of food was also really good. Thank you to everyone, especially Josh who made our stay extra special.

Loved it!!! An impressive amount of Welsh goodness in just one place. I’m in love with a Welsh man so trying these things is really special to me. Plus, a special mention to the person who makes the curatorial selection of displayed elements: it’s a pleasure to go through so many beautiful packagings, I could have spent way longer there tbh! Great job! (Amazing kombuchas too!).

Terrible place to stay for 2 nights nearly £300 pounds. Did not make our room up . Walls that thin can hear people next door going to toilet. As soon as we arrived asked to pay straightaway. Food in restaurant basic . We were told properly had been recently decorated. I have stayed in far better places for a lot less money . Pictures below show how our room was left as it did not get made up . Could not have shower on second morning as towels were damp from following day as room was not made up . Also I have been a decorator for over 30 years and finish is very poor as you can see by bathroom photos.

I ate in the cafe. I had the pumpkin soup and a sandwich. The soup was ok, but didn't taste of pumpkin at all. The sandwich was terrible. A tiny amount of cheap and tasteless ham and cheese on unbuttered plain bread. I forgot to take pictures of it. The salad garnish that came with the sandwich was old, without any dressing and just didn't taste fresh. The strawberries that came with the welsh cakes were also old. I was definitely expecting more for the price. It seems a shame to serve such poor food in such a nice location with so much potential. I hope the restaurant gives Welsh food a better reputation for passing travellers.
